Bhangarh Fort - Haunted Palace

I happened to visit the most popular and scariest destinations named Bhangarh Fort situated in Rajasthan. The fort is  82 km away from Alwar city and 52 km from Jaipur, the roads are not to good to drive, but Still you can manage to reach the place, infact the roads are too bumpy and full of potholes. as. I have visited the fort in August month of 2013 which is a rainy season the drive was more difficult.

However all such hurdles seems to be tiny as you reach the fort. The fort is a town with five gates which was built in 1573, as heard and read in books. The fort has only ruins of that era,it has 5temples in it namely, Someshwar, keshava, Lavina, Gopinath and Mangla Devi and it also has many havelis, mosque, shops and roads built. There have been many stories heard and read behind the mystery of  the Fort. As it is believed that any one  who has tried to stay in nite I the fort has not come alive the next morning, the same is evident from the aura and the ruins of the fort. I have visited the fort in day time, as the entry is not allowed in the fort after 5 p.m. Thus, Iam not sure if the stories behind the mysterious deaths of visitors in night being true or not. Besides, this fort is situated at the edge of Sariska Tiger Sanctuary, which as per me could also be a reason for such deaths in night time, as the animals are believed to be entering inside the fort in night, this fact was also confirmed by the gatekeeper of the fort. The most popular story about the fort is that it was cursed by Guru Balu, as he has sanctioned the construction of town only on a condition that if the shadow of the palace touches him, the town shall be destroyed. Another story is about the princess of Bhangarh Ranavati and a Tantrik. Lastly, I would like to tell you t hat this fort is worth visiting, and if you can dare, do dare to stay in night!!
